A Pittsburgh Tradition Retires
Myron Cope announced his retirement today. Though his skills have clearly diminished over the past few years, his unique voice and unmistakeable style will sorely be missed. Cope has announced for the Steelers for 35 years and is, arguably, one of the most recognized football announcers in the country. He often walked the tight line between amusing and annoying but his commitment and love for the Steelers can never be questioned. As the innovator of the Terrible Towel, his legacy is cemented. Congratulations to Myron and may he enjoy his retirement as much as we've enjoyed his work.
