Goodbye Bobby Petrino

Well, I guess winning the Orange Bowl was Bobby Petrino's only goal at Louisville because, once it was done, he bolted the Cardinals to become the next head coach for the Atlanta Falcons where he will get to deal with the "Coach Killer" Ron Mexico. Louisville should have people knocking down their door to get the head coaching because they have a team that could be ready for a national title run next year. Petrino's exit is a blackeye for the Big East, which is coming off a 5-0 bowl season. We shouldn't be surprised by coaches lying and being disingenuous but Petrino was one of the people who expressed his happiness in the fact Rodriguez was staying at WVU and Schiano was staying at Rutgers and saying how great that was for the conference.

So, here are jobs that are still open:
  • NEW - Louisville
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Oakland Raiders
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Minnesota Golden Gophers

And maybe open soon:

  • New York Giants

Should be interesting as always. And, again, farewell to Bobby Petrino. Great foe...but Louisville will be just fine without him.
