2005 Drawing to a Close

Ah, the year is drawing to a close...and, well, it was an interesting year. Started out bad enough...West Virginia losing in yet another bowl. USC repeating as National Champions and New England winning the Super Bowl again. Not too enthused by those possibilities occuring yet again this year...please, stop the madness.

Of course, in good sports news, WVU's run into the Elite Eight; UNC's basketball championship, WVU's comeback win against Louisville and subsequent Big East title. And T.O. finally showed the world exactly who he is...again. Those were good. And, I guess on the indifferent scale would be Chicago's World Series Title and the Pistons winning in the NBA. But, we'll explore more of 2005 when it actually ends...in the meantime:

It's the one year anniversary of the tsunami disaster that struck Asia. If you wonder why I'm anti-United Nations, read the arcticle about where all the money went. There's something seriously wrong with that bureaucracy.

Looks like the Steelers are going to make the playoffs. I'm not sure who poked the defense but someone awoke the beast. I mean, a 41-0 smackdown of the hapless Browns is just the beginning. This could be a dangerous team in the playoffs and, luckily, they won't have a home playoff game to lose this year.

Lastly, sorry I didn't get ahold of anyone over the holidays...don't take it as a slight. I'm just evil that way. But, hope everyone had a great Christmas time and I look forward to New Years.
