College Football - Saturday

Quick impressions of college football Saturday:
  • Oklahoma = Overrated. Good teams figure out a way to win against TCU. Long year for the Sooners.
  • Bad day for Big East. Rutgers loses big lead against Illinois and Pitt gets booted by Notre Dame. So much for respect this year.
  • Could ESPN possibly kiss Pete Carroll's butt more? Yeah, USC won back-to-back championships. Okay...they're good. But do we need to talk about them every 3 1/2 minutes?
  • On the same note, Charlie Wiess at Notre Dame and Dave Wannstedt at Pitt. Big deal. I know they're there...don't tell me anymore.
  • Lee Corso still sucks. That was real funny holding up the sign about him being a football genius with the WV logo beside it. Real class act that guy is.
  • I don't like Matt Leinart. At all.
  • Boise State isn't as good as people thought apparently. What a surprise.
  • Big Ten - 6. MAC - 0. Another surprise.
  • When ESPN isn't sucking up to USC, they spend the rest of the time sucking up to the SEC and ACC.
  • I hear that Marcus Vick is pretty good. How many yards did he throw for last year? None...well, that's odd, you would have thought he won the Heisman as much as he's talked about. Prove it on the field buddy...just because you're brother is Michael Vick, aka Ron Mexico, doesn't mean you're going to be that good.
  • Additionally, I don't think Michael Vick is all that good...he's the most overhyped player in the NFL...just like in college. And Virginia Tech still sucks.
  • Next Saturday, Ohio State vs. Texas - huge game.
  • Trev Alberts is on my Lee Corso list. And Kirk Herbstreit is working his way there.

That's all for Saturday. More tomorrow night. Good luck Mountaineers.
