A Followup on Mayo

If you thought I was being to harsh on OJ Mayo, read the following article: McAlarney learns from past, looks forward to future. Kyle McAlarney wasn't fortunate enough to just have people look the other way. Mike Brey suspended him for seven games...but Notre Dame decided that wasn't enough and suspended him for an entire semester.

I think that's probably a little extreme, quite frankly. But, no action at all is far worse.

I totally agree with you about Mayo. I think it's sickening that he didn't have to sit out at all. But that's what we're telling kids now...as long as you have skills, you can do whatever you want....act as bad as you want.

What would they have suspended him for? The charges were dropped, it was someone else's stash.

On a completely unrelated note, have you checked out http://wvbloggers.com/forum/index.php yet? It is a good place for all of us, ranging from left-of-center Marshall folk to Mountaineer Tories and everyone in between.
