Well, to say a monsoon passed through Fairmont today would not be an over-exaggeration in any way. The rains came quick to Kingmont and literally flooded some of the roadways. Thunder and lightning were plentiful and hail fell at one point. It was quite a storm. See for yourself:
It was a lot of rain. Kingmont wasn't the only place hit. Dairy Creme Corner also took it on the chin today with some high waters forcing them to close.
So, as you can see, the Fairmont area received a lot of rain Sunday. We've come quite a distance from the drought we saw in June. It feels like it has rained nearly everyday in July (obviously, not true...but close). And temperatures haven't been overly scorching. I predict we pay dearly in August. Only time will tell...
